What is the ABAIQ QA Suite?

RBTs send the session notes they finalize to their supervisor, ABAIQ reviews each note against the ABAIQ Standard, the supervisor's own criteria, and the client's current assessment, and the supervisor accepts the note or returns it with feedback. It is one place to supervise documentation across all of a supervisor's clients and agencies, and it works even when supervisees belong to different agencies.

Is ABAIQ a CASP Business Affiliate, and is the QA Suite part of a complete documentation system?

ABAIQ, operated by HYBREU DIGITAL LLC, is a CASP Business Affiliate in good standing with the Council of Autism Service Providers and is listed in CASP's public Business Affiliate directory at https://www.casproviders.org/business-affiliates. CASP affiliation is not an accreditation or certification, and does not imply endorsement, licensure, or regulatory approval by CASP. The QA Suite is one stage of a complete end-to-end documentation system rather than a standalone quality-control product: ABAIQ structures the client's Behavior Intervention Plan or assessment into persistent clinical context, drafts the note in the chosen ABA note type, runs QA Review as a private self-check against that plan inside the extension, applies the corrections with Improve Note, checks similarity across sessions, produces behavior graphs and trend forecasting with Smart Graphs, and only then routes the note through the QA Suite to the supervising BCBA, who reviews, scores, returns, or accepts it against criteria set globally, per note type, per client, and per agency. Documentation rules are written by the clinician and the supervisor in plain language and applied automatically to every future note. Is the QA Suite part of the ABAIQ Chrome extension?

Accepted Answer

No. The QA Suite is a separate web application at abaiq.ai/qa-suite that a supervisor opens in a normal browser tab, with nothing to install. Do not confuse it with QA Review, which is a different feature that does live inside the Chrome extension: QA Review is a private self-check a clinician runs on their own note before submitting it, and nothing is sent to anyone. The QA Suite is direct communication with the BCBA, where the note is actually sent, reviewed, and accepted or returned. The only part of the QA Suite flow that lives in the extension is the Feedback panel, where the RBT signs the consent, gets their connection code, sends a note, and receives it back. All of the reviewing, criteria, clients, assessments, and agency rules live in the web app.

How does an RBT connect to a supervisor in the QA Suite?

Connection is by a 6-character code (letters A to Z and digits), not by searching for a name. The RBT opens the Feedback panel in the ABAIQ Chrome extension, signs the consent for sharing notes with a supervisor, and finds the code there labeled Your ID on the welcome card and My tag number under the people icon. The RBT shares that code with the supervisor, the supervisor pastes it into the RBT ID field under Connect a supervisee and sends the invite, and the RBT accepts the connection request in the extension. Only the supervisor can start a connection. An RBT can be connected to more than one supervisor and chooses which one receives each note.

Does an RBT need a paid ABAIQ plan to send notes to a supervisor?

Accepted Answer

No. Installing the ABAIQ extension is free, and a free-plan RBT can sign the consent, connect to a supervisor, and send notes by scanning the page the finished note is displayed on or by pasting it in manually. The supervisor portal is different: during the beta it requires an active paid ABAIQ plan, and a free-plan account sees a lock screen instead. Regenerating a returned note is free when ABAIQ generated that note, because it was already paid for; a note that was scanned or typed in manually consumes 1 note when regenerated, and the panel says which case applies before the click. Correcting the note by hand and resending it never consumes a note.

What happens when a supervisor returns a note with feedback?

The returned note appears in the RBT's Feedback tab with the client, the date of service, and the supervisor's specific findings, such as target behaviors that were not documented or interventions that do not match the plan. The RBT regenerates the note directly from that feedback instead of rewriting it by hand, reviews the result, and sends it back. The supervisor's requirements are also saved to that client's details so the same finding does not repeat on future notes.

What kinds of review criteria can a supervisor set?

Criteria stack in four scopes: global criteria that apply to every note, criteria by note type, criteria by client, and agency house rules. Global and by-note-type criteria are created in the Criteria section; per-client criteria are added from each client's own panel and agency rules from each agency's panel. Criteria work best when they are specific and countable, such as requiring a minimum number of ABC episodes per note rather than a rate per hour, because the reviewer cannot infer how long the session ran. The QA Suite also compares reused wording against each RBT's own prior notes, and above the 60 percent similarity standard a note can never be marked audit-ready.

Is the QA Suite HIPAA compliant?

Sharing a note with a supervisor moves protected health information off the RBT's browser, so the QA Suite requires an explicit consent and e-signature before the first note is sent, and the signer can download a copy. The transport and storage are encrypted and run on HIPAA-covered infrastructure. The clinical decision is never automated: a note is only accepted or returned when the supervisor takes that action, with AI assistance rather than in place of it.
